This site is a journal of my visit to Kenya in Feb 2000, it
includes pictures of Nakuru park, Lake Baringo and the magnificent Masai Mara. I hope you
enjoy it and I hope it inspires you to visit this magnificent country.
I think the thing that made this visit to Kenya so special was
the fact that I nearly didn't go, the reason for that is that I had heard so many bad things
about this place, but then I thought how often do you get the chance to see the most amazing
wildlife in the world? And to be honest the answer to that, is not very often. My chance
came through my then girlfriend who's father lives in Kenya. She was wanting to visit him and
asked if I'd go. Initially I said no but after I had thought about it and one of my friends
girlfriends said to me " you don't even think about things like that you just do them
" I thought yeah what the hell go for it. So I did. Sent off for my passport got all my
jabs, saved up money and the next thing I knew I was in Nairobi airport, the date was 6th
February 2000, and that is where my journal will start. There were four people going
altogether, myself, Bonnie (my ex-girlfriend), Nicola and Jo (Bonnie's Flat mates).
